The flat, hinged plate is the hasp that is fitted across the front of your shed door or gate. The staple is a small, protruding loop that is to be fitted on the door or gate frame.
To use this shed locking kit and secure your gate or door, the hasp flips over the staple and slides into place. You can then use the weatherproof padlock to loop through the staple and keep both parts secure.
